GIFTBOX 2021 KEEPER OF THE STONES Barossa Valley SHIRAZ 'Family Reserve' (1 x bottle)

$150.00
sold out

Deep rich colour and lifted aromas of cherry and dark fruit undertones that follow through on the palate, although surprisingly then finishes quite savoury. Character out of sorts for a traditional Barossa Shiraz, but not completely unexpected considering the cooler than average season it was, allowing for slow ripening that resulted in a retention of natural acid and a style more European than Australia's typical fruit forward wines. Drinking well now, but has all the hallmarks in its youth that show it will reward those handsomely that have the patience to cellar. From our family to you, please enjoy! cheers

This wine is nothing short of expectations one would assume when you bring together the force of collaboration. A genuine unique and highly sort after single vineyard site deep in the Southern pocket of Barossa Valley this selection of premium Shiraz fruit came to us through Ryan Fromm family custodian of 5th generation Barossa winegrowers. We welcomed the opportunity to join forces on this small exclusive project. With very limited volume available, and the calibre of this fruit we knew instantly minimal intervention winemaking was the best option, its this style of winemaking that sings too my heart.. Just shepherd the parcel through vinification, the grapes would do the rest! So we set the platform and allowed the sense of place and 'terroir' to dazzle us, and it didn’t disappoint.
