Not like a typical Barossa shiraz of big round voluptuous curves of ripe fruit and plenty to share, a bit more refined and slender example of tightly held together wine by great natural acidity The palate is a beautiful balance of fruit and savoury characters more often associated with European styles or more cool climate production. Not surprisingly, considering the fruit from this single vineyard site which is located in the deep south of Barossa Valley, a sub-region that neighbours the nearby Adelaide Hills GI Region. Further contributing to this was the cooler than average season that allowed for slow ripening resulting in that retention of high natural acid.
